I love this web app which I have added to Google chrome.
As you travel around the internet researching or looking for things you can set up a "Pearl tree" - an overall theme or topic that your are searching for. You can list as many of these as you want. When you come across a website, you can then "pearl" it into Pearltrees.
You can also look at other people's pearltrees, add their pearltrees to your own or even form a "team" on a particular topic. It's a great way to collaborate especially with the sheer amount of information that is accumulating on the web.
My favourite feature: Unlike other bookmarking sites such as reddit, this is very visual and then tweets your pearl.
Other considerations: You need to upgrade to Premium if you want to have "Private" pearltrees which is currently AUD$29.99 on 14/04/2013.
